    Plans to Lead Suburban Think Tank at Hofstra -- After serving the Town of Hempstead in some capacity for more than two decades, Supervisor Rich Guardino officially announced his intention to resign as town leader during a press conference at Hofstra University Monday, Jan. 13.   • News: Former Village Mayor Henry Friedman Dies

    Former Village of Floral Park Mayor Henry Friedman died peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003 after a brief illness. He is predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (Libbie) and is survived by his son Henry Philip, daughter-in-law Mary and six grandchildren, Jillian Lunsford, Steven Rosita and Lindsay, Philip, Zachary and Christopher Friedman. His sister-in-law, Lilyan Brewster, one nephew, Jeffrey Brewster, and two nieces, Linda Young and Darlene Cunningham, also survive him. FULL STORY
