Bellerose resident Victor Ciccarone celebrated his 100th birthday Friday, March 22 at Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, where he's been a dedicated volunteer since the passing of his wife, Jenny, 25 years ago. Dan Bakke of Floral Park, now a junior on SUNY Oneonta's Red Dragons lacrosse team, had a huge offensive week recently in helping to lead the Red Dragons to a 2-0 week. In two SUNYAC Conference wins over Brockport and Plattsburgh, he tallied 10 goals and two assists for 12 points. In Oneonta's 23-6 win over Brockport, Bakke scored five goals and added one assist and then followed that with an identical performance in an 18-8 win over Plattsburgh. FULL STORY
