Floral Park Fire Commissioner Tom Tweedy, also village trustee, reports that 35 members of the Floral Park Fire Department attended a seminar on training against terrorism Jan. 29, offered through the Fire Academy. The seminar included topics and instruction on recognition of a possible terrorist act, such as awareness of surroundings training and techniques; notification, commandeering and securing the site; as well as instruction and video presentation on chemicals used in terrorist attacks, including anthrax and biohazards.
