The Easter hiatus didn't have any effect on the eyes and arms of the Floral Park Casey keglers, as evidenced by the way they attacked the Sterling Lanes wood during last Thursday's outing.
Joe O'Donnell led The Parade with a nifty 247 loner that led to a 593 set, chased by Mike Gallagher's 213 game, 585 trio and a Paul Bergstrom 573 set built on games of 205 and 225. Ed Hackimer banged out a solid 560 a bit up on Sean Brady's 212 single, 553 triple and "Knobby" Gregory's 544 with John Fittipaldi trailing, at 532. A Jack Price 218 one-timer gave him a 531 count, edging past Vin Sheehan's 201 single, 530 3-gamer and Eddy Goodloe's 202 single that gave him a 526 total. Paul Mastronardi's 213 solo led to a 525 trio a whisker up on Tom Choinski, at 521 and Brian Brady, whose 519 total showed a 199 "almost." John O'Grady spilled 510 hunks of lumber while Greg Simicich and Charley Bingold were doing a "Brother Act," at 503 to end the night's "Brotherly Bombardment."
Team action saw the Ed Hackimer-led Cliffhangers do a 5-2 number on the Sons & Fathers, bossed by Fred Dorgler, Sr. while The Hurricanes, with Greg Simicich calling signals, did a 7-0 whitewash job on Captain Rich Lahey's Munsters. John Fittipaldi led his Three Blind Mice to a 5-2 win over John O'Grady's What-a-Team II while Jim Kearney and his Drink, Drank, Drunk quartet was eking out a 4-3 nailbiter win over Eddy Goodloe and his Goodo's 4. Ending the night's "Columbian Cannonading," the Bombers, with Sean Brady as chief bombardier, blanked Mike Gallagher and his On Timers, via a 7-0 calcimine job.
