The Sewanhaka to Kosovo Connection
Students in Sawanhaka High School recently came together for yet another good cause - the children of Kosovo. Social Studies Chair Paul Garber, Social Studies teacher Tony Scott and the Sawanhaka S.A.D.D. organized a drive to gather supplies for the people of Kosovo. The drive was called the Sewanhaka to Kosovo Connection and it had spectacular results.

Spirit Day at Sewanhaka High School
Spirit Day started early at Sewanhaka High School on Jan. 12. Students from all grades arrived at 6 a.m. to put the finishing touches on their halls, which celebrated different world cultures. The lobby was also filled with spirited decorations, courtesy of the cheerleaders and the Rockettes.

In last weeks's outing at The Sterling Lanes, the Floral Park Knights "took a night off" - with only eight of the 40 keglers scoring in the Hotshot Bracket - a far cry from the "Columbian Cannonading" their fans have come to expect, week after week.
