Assessment Grievance Filing Period from Jan. 2 Through March 1
Charles O'Shea, chairman of the Nassau County Board of Assessors, announced that the year 2001 assessment grievance period when taxpayers may protest their 2001-02 property assessments will run from Monday, Jan. 2 through March 1, 2001. Nassau taxpayers may protest their assessments at the Nassau County Office building at 240 Old Country Road in Mineola during daytime hours, Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. For added convenience taxpayers may file in the evening between the hours of 7 and 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17 and Wednesday, Jan. 31 and on Wednesday, Feb. 7 between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
