The Floral Park Knights of Columbus wood-wallopers had a better night, on the Sterling lanes than all the politicos, on both sides of the fence, in Florida, as they pounded the lumber in the usual Council fashion.

Leading the parade of pin-pounders was "Knobby" Gregory, who used a 199 "almost" to post a sizzling 575 three-gamer, followed by Eddy Hackimer's 212 single, 556 triple and a Mile Gallagher 553 set that had a 201 loner in its makeup. Greg Simicich pounded out a solid 546, a step up on Paul Simonetti's 204 single, 541 triple effort, while Joe O'Donnell was working on a 200 game, 531 set. Vinny DeGregorio had a 199 "almost," as he posted a 530, for his night's work while Mike Derby was rolling a solid 525, a whisker up on Joe Silvestri's 524 total, showing a nifty 222 solo effort. Sean Brady spilled 522 sticks, John Fittipaldi crowded him, with a 520 while Bob Masburn and Pat Murphy were doing a "brother" act, at 518 with Pat tossing a 200 on the way. Jack Price's 516 was a step up on Brian Brady's 511. Anthony Morena posted a 505 and Chet Strzepek put a 501 on the books. Joe Oswald was The Caboose on The Star Train with a 211 solo effort.

Team action saw the Jim Kearney-led Drink, Drank, Drunk four do a 5-2 number on the Three Blind Mice, bossed by Bob Mashburn while Mike Gallagher and his Ontimers were whitewashing Eddy Hackimer's Cliffhangers via a 7-0 drubbing. Goodo's 4, minus Capt. Eddy Goodloe, handed Rich Lahey and his Munsters a 5-2 set-back while The Bombers, with Sean Brady in the driver's seat, downed Greg Simicich's Hurricanes, in a 5-2 encounter. Ending the night's Brotherly Bombardment, the John O'Grady-led Whatateam II shut out Fred Dorgler Sr.'s Sons and Fathers via a 7-0 count.
