On Tuesday, Nassau County Executive Thomas S. Gulotta submitted interim working documents for his proposed 2001 county budget to the Nassau Interim Finance Authority (NIFA) and the Nassau County Legislature for their review. The interim working documents propose the consolidation and streamlining of departments, layoffs, union concessions, contract cuts, and an average $33 per household tax increase.
