The Sewanhaka Central High School District Board of Education reminds all residents of Elmont, Floral Park-Bellerose, Franklin Square and New Hyde Park-Garden City Park that the state-wide date for voting on school district budgets and school board elections is Tuesday, May 16. Sewanhaka Central High School District Board of Education has announced that Floral Park Memorial High School's new principal will be Gloria O'Connor. The announcement came after a unanimous vote of the board at its meeting on May 2. Since January of 1997, Ms. O'Connor has been an assistant principal at Floral Park Memorial, serving under Diane Kelly, who will retire at the end of the current school year after 14 years as principal.
