The 26th week's King-of-the-Hill was Mike Gallagher, who scorched the Sterling Lanes hardwood with games of 224, 212 and 213 for a beauty of a 649 set followed by John Fittipaldi's fine 607 3-gamer that had a 242 loner in its make-up. A Frank Dehler 238 solo gave him a 564 trio, edging Paul Simonetti's 561 total, built on a 209 loner, a few steps up on "Knobby" Gregory's 213 single that led to a fine 544 series. Tom Moore had a solid 537, a whisker up on Eddy Hackimer's 202 game, 534 series while Greg Simicich was back in the pack, at 519. Jack Price showed a 208 single, 516 triple for his night's work and Chet Strzepek chimed in with a 508 count. Jim Kearney spilled 507 sticks. Charley Bingold banged out a 505 and Rich Lahey was the caboose on The Star Train, with a 200 single effort.
Team action saw the Tom Moore-led Medical Marvels do a 5-2 number on the Whatateam crew, bossed by John O'Grady while Jack Price was piloting his We're Not Ready combine to a 5-2 win over Frank Dehler and his Mike's 4 outfit. The Hurricanes, with Greg Simicich in the driver's seat, whitewashed the Marksmen, led by Top Sharpshooter Pat Sweeney, in a 7-0 rout while the Team Moss II quartet was blanking the Fathers and Sons aggregation, captained by Fred Dorgler, Sr. by a like 7-0 count. Turning out the lights and putting the key in the door, Eddy Hackimer and his Little Guys were big enough to hand Mike Honan and his MP-JR aggregation a 7-0 setback.
