The recent spring-like weather has put back some of the "giddyap" in the bowling eyes and arms of the Local Caseys as they pounded the Sterling Lanes lumber with the old-time finesse. Their loyal fans knew, during the recent slow-down in their pin-spilling ability, that the magic would return and, week by week, they're climbing back to the level on which they belong. With 14 weeks left in the year's schedule, they give strong promise of exhibiting the explosive power that was their trademark, not too many weeks ago so, dear reader, sit back and watch them soar!

Joe Silvestri was The Bell Ringer, during last week's action, as he used a 262 single beauty to carve out a fine 608 set, followed by Eddy Hackimer's 574 trio that included a 240 solo and Mike Gallagher's 568 total, built on 200 and 211 games. Frank Dorgler Sr. cranked out a 213 loner on his way to a 539 series, a step ahead of Cliff Weinberg and Frank Dehler, knotted a 532, with Cliff tossing a neat 203 one-timer. Vinny Sheehan showed a solid 529 for his night's work, a whisker up on John O'Grady's 527 while Eddy Goodloe was toppling 516 hunks of wood. Paul Simonetti used a 207 single to build a 515 triple as he slid past Jack Price's 513 count and John Fittipaldi, with a 512 total, was there, in the bunch. Tom Moore loafed to a 505 and Mike Honan was left at the station, with a 199 "almost."

Team action saw the Medical Marvels, bossed by Tom Moore, do a 5-2 number on the Whatateam forces, with John O'Grady calling signals, and Eddy Hackimer's Little Guys were big enough to hand Jack Price and his We're Not Ready four a 5-2 setback. The Marksmen, with Pat Sweeney in the driver's seat, shot down Greg Simicich and his Hurricanes, in a 5-2 battle while the Mike Honan-led MP-JR was bowling to the Team Moss II aggregation, captained by Bob Mashburn, via a 5-2 count. Ending the night's action, Mike's Four, with Frank Dehler as the signal caller, handed Fred Dorgler Sr. and his Fathers and Sons outfit a 7-0 whitewash.
