Despite all the "hoopla" about the New Millennium and expected computer glitches, the legs, arms, and eyes of the Floral Park Knights of Columbus bowlers continued to function in the usual Council 2345 fashion, toppling the Sterling Lane Lumber as if the year was still in the "Old Millennium."

The Casey Cannonaders are eagerly looking forward to future explosions of their bowling prowess and give promise of bigger and better "doin's" as the new era becomes part of our everyday life.

The New Millennium King of The Hill in The Hotshot Department was Bob Mashburn, who cranked out a 243 beauty on way to a nifty 621 set as Tom Moore took the second slot, tossing a 233 single, 608 triple while Paul Simonetti trailed them, using a sizzling 278 single to post a fine 603 total. A Joe Silvestri 266 single gem gave him a 587 total for his night's work as John Fittipaldi trailed him at 565 with a 203 one-gamer tossed in and Mike Derby was right there with a 200 solo, 562 trio. Pat Sweeney tossed a 210 one-gamer on way to a 546 count. Bob Sheehan rang up a 535 with a 200 game tossed in and Pat Murphy's efforts gained him a solid 529 three-game count. Charley Bingold's 210 single led to a 525 nosing out Jack Price at 523 while "Knobby" Gregory and Fred Dorgler Sr. were crossing the finish lie hand-in-hand, at 513, with "Knobby" carding a 201 solo on the way. Eddy Hackimer, rolling a solid 503 set, was the Caboose on the Star Train.

Team action saw the We're Not Ready crew, bossed by Jack Price, do a 5-2 number on the MP-JR forces, led by Mike Honan while Tom Moore was leading his Medical Marvels to a 5-2 win over Greg Simicich and his Hurricanes. The Fathers and Sons, captained by Fred Corgler Sr., won a 5-2 nod over John O'Grady and his Whatateam four while Bob Mashburn's Team Moss II was bowing to Eddy hackimer and his Little Guys via a 5-2 count. Turning the lights out and putting the key in the door, the Marksmen, with Pat Sweeney calling signals, whitewashed the Frank Dehler-led Mike's 4 in a 7-0 rout to end the night's "Brotherly Bombardment."
