This letter is being sent with hopes that the gentleman who made my holiday special sees it. A day or two before New Year's Eve I was shopping at Key Food on Covert Avenue. Had some problems closing my car trunk and one man came to my assistance and fixed the trunk. There was another car waiting for my space. When I left and went to the next store, I discovered my wallet was gone. I ran back to Key Food to ask them if anyone had turned in a wallet. I had taken $200 out of my account and was really upset.

I noticed a man waving at me who asked, "Miss Tripp?"...it was the man who was waiting for my parking spot and he was on the line paying for his groceries. He had my wallet and said he was preparing to drop it off at my home. I thanked him and left the store. Having misgivings about my reaction and the grief he saved me, I ran to the liquor store and bought a bottle of wine but when I got back his car was gone.

I hope he sees this letter and knows how grateful I am for his honesty and kindness.

Florence Tripp
