She founded th eSt. Thomas More Bookstore in Harvard Square and was past president of the Emmanuel Club of LI and the Radcliffe Club of LI. She was a member of the the board of West Nassau Mental Health Clinic. Wife of the late Vincent J. Mooney. Mother of Vincent Jr., Christopher, Roger, Walter, Neil, Martha Waltien and Katherine Pryor.
