In almost monotonous fashion, the Floral Park Knights of Columbus bowlers, week after amazing week, larrup the Sterling Lanes Lumber, as they continue to put astronomical numbers in the record book. Bowling pundits, keeping an eye on the weekly performances of the local Caseys, can only shake their heads in almost disbelief, as the "Columbian Cannonaders" continue to spill the wood, week after week, with greater and greater ferocity.

John Fittipaldi picked up all the marbles. In the Hotshot Derby, with a sizzling 691 set, built on 208, 204 and 279 nifties, a mile, or so, up on Tommy Moore's 218 and 204 solos that gave him a fine 612 trio, while Chet Strzepek grabbed some of the spotlight with a 584 total, that showed a 205 single effort. Mike Gallagher banged out a 209 and a 201 on way to a 578 series, crowded by Eddy Hackimer's 209 solo. 568 trio and a Mike Honan 567 set that had a 201 solo in its make-up. Joe Silvestri tossed a solid 566, edging Jim Kearney, whose 202 single helped him build a 563 triple. Pat Murphy posted a 559 and Charley Bingold got into the act with a 542 outing. Paul Simonetti and Bob Sheehan crossed the finish line hand-in-hand, both carding 537 series Bob using a 213 and Paul a 200, to fatten their counts and a Bob Mashburn 211 solo, giving him a 536 trio, nosed out Herman Determann's 200 solo, 535 trio to complete the Hotshot Listing for the evening.

Team action saw the MP-JR quartet, bossed by Mike Honan, blank the Marksmen, minus absent Capt. Pat Sweeney, in a 7-0 rout, while John O'Grady's Whatateam did a 5-2 number on Eddy Hackimer's Little Guys. Team Moss #2 with Bob Mashburn in the driver's seat, handed Jack Price and his We're Not Ready combo a 5-2 set-back while Frank Dehler and his Mike's Four were getting a 7-0 whitewash job from the Medical Marvels, led by Chief Marvel Tom Moore. Winding the night's team action, the Hurricanes, with Greg Simicich calling signals were on the short end of a 5-2 count, at the hands of Frank Dorgler, Sr. and his Fathers and Sons aggregation.
