The recent cold snap must have been the reason for the upsurge of power in the arms of the local K of C keglers, as they punished the Sterling Lane wood without letup last Thursday evening. They scattered lumber all over the area on a night reminiscent of past evenings, when the wood was walloped with the usual 2345 power and determination, giving the viewer the thought that "you ain't seen nothin' yet!"

Eddy Hackimer was "Top Banana," in the hotshot department as he posted a beauty of a 649 three-gamer, built on 221, 213 and 215 nifties, a few paces up on Mike Gallagher's 603 set that had a 232 single beauty in its makeup. Tommy Moore and Paul Simonetti did a "brother act" at 602, Tommy rolling a 224 and Paul came up with a 225. Mike Honan's 212 and 211 singles led to a 581. Pat Murphy's 204 single gave him a 570 triple, while "Knobby" Gregory was carving out a 569, showing a 215 loner. John Fittipaldi and Frank Dehler did a "brother act" at 559¬Dehler rolling a 229 single and John a 200 one-timer, while Mike Derby posted a 207 game, 538 set. Joe Silvestri's 529 nosed out a Chet Strzepek 528 that had a 203 in its makeup. Charley Bingold dumped 523 sticks and Joe Oswald's 202 loner led to a 519 three-gamer. Bob Sheehan made noise with a 514 and Richie Biggin was The Caboose on The Star Train with a 504.

Team action saw the Mike Honan-led MP-JR quartet do a 5-2 number on the Team Moss 2 aggregation, minus Capt. Bob Mashburn, while Jack Price was leading his We're Not Ready gang to a 4--3 nailbiter win over the WHATATEAM forces, led by John O'Grady. The Mike's 4 crew, with Frank Dehler calling signals, whitewashed the Greg Simicich-led Hurricanes in a 7-0 rout, while Pat Sweeney was piloting his Marksmen to a 5-2 win over the Fathers and Sons, captained by Bob Sheehan. Ending the night's "brother-ly bombardment," the Little Guys, with Eddy Hackimer in the driver's seat, lost to Tommy Moore and his Medical Marvels in a 4-3 battle.
