With no let-up in sight, where posting top-notch scores are just another Knights of Columbus show of bowling prowess, the local "Caseys," calling Floral Park "home," continue to down the Sterling Lanes Lumber in a fashion that spells a very busy season -- another typical Council #2345 year.

Frank Dehler was Top Macho Man, in the Hotshot Department, as he strung games of 209 and 235 to post a nifty 610 while as Joe Silvestri, cranking out a 211 loner on way to a 586 set, took second honors. John Fittipaldi dogged Joe's heels, rolling a 221 single, on way to a fine 583, Mike Derby used a 208 single to build a 567 total and Mike Gallagher was a step behind, carding a 563 that had a 207 loner in its make-up. Bob Mashburn and Charley Bingold did a "brother" act, at 551, Bob using a 202 loner to card his fine set with Paul Simonetti trailing, at 546 and Fred Dorgler, Sr. a bit off the pace, at 538. Another "buddy-bracket" was Mike Honan and Pat Murphy, knotted at 532 -- Mike using a 207 game to build his count. Tommy Moore loafed to a 526 while Eddy Hackimer was cranking out a 205 loner, 519 3-gamer and Pat Sweeney was right there with a 518. Frank Murphy shot a solid 517, nosing out Jack Price's 209 single, 516 triple, John O'Grady spilled 514 sticks and "Knobby" Gregory showed some of his old form, carding a 504. Bob Sheehan made The Elites with a 207 single effort and Joe Oswald had his face pressed to the window, with a 199 "almost."

Team action saw the Jack Price-led "We're Not Ready four do a 5-2 number on the Team Moss 2 combine, bossed by Bob Mashburn while Pat Sweeney was piloting his Marksmen to a 5-2 decision over Mike Honan and his MP-JR outfit. WHATATEAM, with John O'Grady in the driver's seat, eked out a 4-3 nail-biter win over Eddy Hackimer's Little Guys while Mike's Four, captained by Frank Dehler, took a 5-2 verdict away from Tommy Moore and his Medical Marvels. Ending the night's "Columbian Cannonading," The Hurricanes, led by Greg Simicich, downed Fred Dorgler, Sr.'s Fathers and Sons outfit, via a 5-2 count.
