Return to a new course in Floral Park, May 30, Memorial Day weekend. Floral Park Youth Council and Belmont Park Race Track are sponsoring a 5K, a 1-Mile, and a Pee Wee Run. The new course will be run on the quiet, tree-lined streets of the Village of Floral Park and through the beautiful, scenic wooded area of Belmont Park Race Track.

The 5K and 1-mile runs are open to all individuals, regardless of age or gender. Pee Wee run is for all children seven and under. Awards will be given to all Pee Wee runners. In the 1-Mile run, awards will be given to the first 10 male and 10 female finishers under the age of 18 years old. In the 5K run, awards will be given to the first-place overall male and female runners, the three male and female finishers in each of the 11 divisions and, also, first place overall male and female Floral Park finishers. There will be refreshments and raffles at the conclusion of the race.

Pre-registration for the 5K and 1-Mile is $13 and the Pee Wee is $7. T-Shirts will be awarded to the first 300 5K and 1-Mile registrants as well as the first 100 Pee Wee registrants. For further information and for a copy of the application, call Dave Singer at 328-2447.
