The Floral Park American Legion will observe Memorial Day on Monday, May 31 with the parade stepping off from the post on Elizabeth Steet at 10 a.m. The line of march will proceed left onto Plainfield Avenue and left onto Jericho turnpike, to South Tyson Avenue, to Tulip Avenue, under the LIRR and through the heart of the business district to Memorial Park. Return to a new course in Floral Park, May 30, Memorial Day weekend. Floral Park Youth Council and Belmont Park Race Track are sponsoring a 5K, a 1-Mile, and a Pee Wee Run.
