Sting Operation Nabs Baby Seller
The Nassau County District Attorney's Office recently announced the arrest of a lawyer from Queens for attempting to sell a baby that he claimed belonged to a client. Tamas Kovacs, 37, of Glen Oaks is accused of reaching out to couples through the Internet on adoption web sites and offering a baby for adoption. He as arrested last week at the Garden City Hotel when he agreed to give the baby to a couple in return for an under the table $60,000 payment.

Belmont Stakes Fair Returns for Three Big Weekends
The Belmont Stakes Fair is coming back this year bigger and better than ever. The fair will include more than 100 spectacular rides, games and free attractions daily for the entire family to enjoy. The fair will give families a chance to celebrate spring during three action packed weekends during April and May. The fair will open Friday, April 23 and continue each weekend ending with a four day Thursday through Sunday weekend May 6 to May 9.

Harlem Wizards Visit Friends Academy
Friends Academy faculty and students teamed up to shoot hoops against the Harlem Wizards, a professional entertainment basketball team, to a sell-out crowd. The purpose of the event was to foster a sense of community and to raise money for On Your Marks Summerbridge, a tuition-free academic enrichment program which serves rising sixth and seventh grade students of Nassau County.
