Friends Academy faculty and students teamed up to shoot hoops against the Harlem Wizards, a professional entertainment basketball team, to a sell-out crowd. The purpose of the event was to foster a sense of community and to raise money for On Your Marks Summerbridge, a tuition-free academic enrichment program which serves rising sixth and seventh grade students of Nassau County. While the Friends Academy "Quakers" played a good game against the Wizards, they were trounced by the visiting team of professional and semi-professional players, who dazzled the crowd with their tricks and slapstick style.
