Officials at the Sewanhaka Central High School District remind all homeowners that the final date for submitting applications for New York State's School Tax Relief (STAR) program is Monday, March 1. The New York State Legislature enacted the STAR program to lower school district taxes for virtually all New York State homeowners. Last year the program was limited to senior citizens with annual incomes of less than $60,000; this year it has been extended to include all homeowners, regardless of their age or income. FULL STORY
