    Due to a number of telephone inquiries regarding a recent tap water study in California, both the Water Authority of Western Nassau County and the Nassau County Department of health are advising residents that the public water supply in Nassau County is consistently monitored for quality and there is no need for concern. It meets all federal, state and local drinking water standards and is safe to drink.

    The Nassau County Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating two men who committed a burglary at a private home on Irving Avenue in Floral Park on January 24.
