Car lovers from all over Long Island will come together on Sunday, July 21 when the New York AutoFest returns to Castle Gould at the Sands Point Preserve. The show, which is an anticipated favorite among automobile enthusiasts, will feature hundreds of show cars, trucks and bikes on a spectacular Gold Coast site.
This event will feature fun for the whole family, including raffles, prizes, food and music by DJ Rich.
For those unfamiliar with the AutoFest, it is a series of car shows held throughout the summer. All of the shows help raise funds for charitable organizations. One program that the AutoFest funds is Flags for Classrooms, which provides classrooms in both public and private schools with the symbol of our country, the American flag.
Those looking for a unique souvenir from the event may be interested in the one-of-a-kind welded collectible sculptures made from actual engine parts. These pieces are made expressly for New York AutoFest and there are no two sculptures alike. One of the pieces will be on display during the show at Castle Gould.
The show at Castle Gould will be a judged show featuring 40 classes. The cost per show vehicle is $20, while spectators pay $10 per carload. The show will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Sands Point Preserve is located at 127 Middleneck Rd. in Port Washington.
