They had eight shutouts and held their opponents to only one run, six times).
“I am very proud of the way the girls played and came together as a team. They supported and encouraged each other all year and the results really showed because of it,” Coach Passante said.
Commenting on her workhorse pitcher she said, “Kornfeld was amazing. She pitched every game getting stronger as the season went on. She confused the hitters with a variety of pitches and was tremendous at fielding her position when they tried to bunt their way on. The opposing coaches and many of the umpires commented on how well she pitched all year. We certainly would not have finished where we did without her outstanding efforts.”
The team includes Katie Ciccarelli, Denise Dessel, Lauren Foschino, Nicole Hayden, Amanda Hickey, Liliana Kinney, Johana Klein, Tori Kornfeld, Laurn Lynch, Jess Napoli, Nicole Pelligrino, Amanda Rivera, Sam Schem and Hannah Soluri.
