Once again former players and supporters of the Over The Hill Softball league 1970s and 1980s Barboy team met at Bollinger’s restaurant in Farmingdale for their annual Christmas breakfast. While it was unfortunate that scheduling conflicts did not allow a number of players to attend, their absence did not deter those present from reminiscing about the good times and success the team achieved over their many years of playing together.
As in the past Dan Ruesterholz chaired the event and once again Jim Reilly, president and founder of the league, was a special guest. The greatly exaggerated stories of playing ability and events that occurred during the 20-plus years of playing together made for a very enjoyable morning.
Additionally the fine food and excellent service provided by Bollinger’s left all who attended with a smile on their face and a full stomach.
