I enjoy taking my autistic grandson, Thomas, to a small and relatively quiet park. Gerngras Park, in the Village of Farmingdale, is such a park. However, this park was in the need of significant, expensive renovation, which would have put a strain on the finances of the village government.
Thanks to a grant obtained by our County Legislator Dave Mejias, the Village of Farmingdale was able to renovate the park by improving the playground and walkway areas
Legislator Mejias and our village government have shown how our county and local government can work together on a bipartisan basis.
Legislator Mejias deserves our congratulations for the excellent work he has done for our village and in the surrounding communities.
