A heartfelt ‘thank you’ to the many volunteers who helped decorate our Village for the 2010 holiday season. The air was cold and crisp but spirits were sunny and warm as the members of the Beautification Committee, together with new volunteers, members of the Women’s Club, Junior Members of the Village Fire Department, Mayor, Trustees and Public Works Superintendent and staff worked countless hours getting all our decorations prepared for this year.

I want to thank the residents of the 10th Assembly District for giving me another two-year term as your State Assemblyman in Albany. As I begin my new term, I am energized, once again, to push for a reform agenda that includes property tax relief, spending restraint and strict ethical adherence for legislators.
I sincerely thank those individuals who supported me in my run for state assembly. I know they had made significant sacrifices in my efforts to fight the dysfunction in Albany and to promote economic growth in our state. Their labor made my message resonate in our community. Furthermore, I thank the voters of the 13th Assembly District who cast a ballot for me on Election Day. It is not over…
I’d like to thank the residents of the 8th Senate District for re-electing me to another term in the New York State Senate.
The Farmingdale School District continues its commitment to the community by making fiscally sound decisions in light of the economic downturn. This past spring, the community voted to use funds from the capital reserve to replace windows at Farmingdale High School. There was no increase to the tax levy as a result of the community’s decision and no further financial commitment is necessary. This work is part of the district’s long-term energy savings plan.
