Farrington, David died on Aug. 9, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Ruth for 65 years, and a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He moved from Manhattan in 1949 and became a resident of South Farmingdale in 1949, when he built a home in the Woodward Parkway area. The Farrington family was called “The Pioneers” by most of the merchants in town. He was employed by Bolsey Cameras as a model maker of demonstration cameras and by Kollsman Instruments making and inspecting parts for airplanes, and later had much to do with parts that went to the moon in the LEM. His body has been donated to science. A memorial service was held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Aug. 18. Donations may be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church in his memory.
