Miccio, Eugene T., 82, of Bethpage passed away Sept. 16, 2012. Predeceased in 2003 by his beloved wife, Angelina, and in 1968 by their only child, Linda. Survived by his brother, Richard, and several nieces and nephews. Prayer service and interment took place Friday, Sept. 21, at St. Charles Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the Arthur F. Gavin, Sarah Jane (née McKee), 86, of Farmingdale, formerly of the Bronx, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sept. 16, 2012. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael, and their cherished daughter, Jean Walsh (Dennis). Survived by her devoted sons and their spouses, Michael and Donna, John and Jody, Martin and Josephine, Joseph and Iris, Stephen and Lisa, 13 loving grandchildren and one precious great-grandson, Nicholas. She is also survived by her dear brother, Frank McKee, of England and sister, Margaret, of Ireland. A funeral mass was held Tuesday, Sept. 18, at St. Kilian R.C. Church, with interment following at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx. Arrangements were entrusted to the Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc.
Mauer, Karl D., lifetime Farmingdale resident passed away unexpectedly at age 46 on Sept. 15, 2012. Beloved son of Cleo Mauer and William Mauer. Dear brother of Janice Fischer, William and Joseph. Farrington, David died on Aug. 9, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Ruth for 65 years, and a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He moved from Manhattan in 1949 and became a resident of South Farmingdale in 1949, when he built a home in the Woodward Parkway area. The Farrington family was called “The Pioneers” by most of the merchants in town. He was employed by Bolsey Cameras as a model maker of demonstration cameras and by Kollsman Instruments making and inspecting parts for airplanes, and later had much to do with parts that went to the moon in the LEM. His body has been donated to science. A memorial service was held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Aug. 18. Donations may be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church in his memory.
