Beloved husband of Susan. Devoted father and father in law of Michael (Joanna), Keith, Corey (Gina), and the late Susanne DePace (Anthony). Beloved son of Elizabeth and the late Donald. Loving brother of Patrick, the late Jan Hauser, Laura DuBeau, Paul and Mary Hill. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Deene, Gianni, Corey, Samantha, Darren, and Alexa. Diana Giaco, of South Farmingdale passed away October 6, 2013. Retired 25-year Library Clerk at the South Farmingdale branch. Beloved wife of her late husband Ralph. Devoted mother of Diane Kubik (John), Angela Strollo (Alex), MaryAnn Toner and Johanna Keep (Chris). Cherished grandmother of eight grandchildren and two great grandaughters. A Prayer Service was held Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment took place Thursday, Oct. 10, at Long Island National Cemetery, Pinelawn. Celia Pearl Applestone, of Massapequa, NY, passed away on September 23, 2013, at the age of 83.
A true New York native, she was born in the Bronx, grew up in Brooklyn and spent her 20s in Manhattan before moving to Long Island with her husband, the late Robert Applestone. Ms. Applestone is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jessica and Joshua and their son Isaiah, her brother Jerrold Goldman and her sister-in-law, Lois Heitner as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
As former mayor of Farmingdale, and lifelong resident, Willis B. Carman, Jr., felt a deep calling to public service.
Carman served on the Farmingdale Village board for 22 years as Trustee, and an additional 8 years as Mayor. While in office, Carman accomplished the construction of the Hardscrabble Senior Citizens Complex, automating the village’s operations, and budgeting so there were three years of no tax increases.
Molldene, Susan, of Farmingdale, died on Sept. 25. Beloved wife of the late Simon Edward Molldene. Devoted mother of Betty Affisco and MaryAnn Tufani.
