In honor of Memorial Day approaching, on Tuesday, May 17 Morgan Stanley Smith Barney hosted “A Celebration of Our Freedom” with Col. Jack Jacobs, U.S. Army (Ret.) at the American Airpower Museum in Farmingdale.
Jacobs is the recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor, our nation’s highest award for valor in military service, for his heroism and service in the Vietnam War.
The event was co-sponsored by The Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation, which has recently published a book highlighting the recipients of the nation’s highest commendation.
In addition to Jacobs’ keynote address, the event will featured a presentation of the flag by a Marine Corps Color Guard, and a tour of the museum’s vintage aircraft from World War II, and a cocktail reception for the guests in attendance.
