The 22nd annual tree lighting ceremony for the Village of Farmingdale was held on Tuesday, Nov. 30 in the Village Green.
The Farmingdale-Bethpage Historical Society and other community organizations gave the Colorado blue spruce tree to the village following the Tri-centennial of Settlement commemoration in 1987.
Brad DeMillo, director of the Village Pops, and also a FBHS member, served as a festive emcee and the South Shore Brass Ensemble provided seasonal music, just as they have for the past 21 years.
The fourth and fifth grade chorus of Saltzman East Memorial School sang choral selections and the Historical Society served refreshments following the program.
