The Farmingdale High School junior varsity fastpitch softball team improved their record to 6-0 with back-to-back shutout wins. Sophomore pitcher Tori Kornfeld allowed just one hit in each game pitching her fourth and fifth shutouts of the season while striking out 11 each game. They beat Elmont 25 -0. Sam Schem and Amanda Rivera hit homeruns and Kornfeld helped her own cause with a grandslam. They then beat Port Washington 13-0 behind the excellent hitting of Hannah Soluri (3-3) and Denise Dessel (3-3).
"I am very proud and very pleased with the complete team effort of the girls," Coach Passante said. "They are getting the hits and providing excellent defense to back Kornfeld's outstanding pitching."
