After winning their first game of the season, the Dalers Lacrosse team had two rough games last week. On March 24 the Dalers were in Lynbrook. With a low scoring game, Kenny Lutz tied it up 4-4 with 4:13 left in the game to send it into overtime. With 3 minutes left in the first overtime, Lynbrook scored to defeat the Dalers 5-4. Sal Tuttle, Peter Mormino, Kenny Lutz and Mike Ferrigno scored for the Dalers. Goalie T.J. DiCarlo had 11 saves.
Then on Saturday the Dalers were back home against Smithtown West. After falling behind 4-1 in the first quarter, the Dalers defense settled down, to give their offense an opportunity to get back into the game. At the end of the third quarter the game was tied 7-7. Smithtown scored first and down 8-7 in the fourth quarter Joe Celano put one in the net to tie it up with 6:16 left in the game. The offense just could not get ahead of Smithtown. With one-second left in the game Smithtown scored to give the Dalers their second one point loss in a row. Joe Celano , Sal Tuttle and Corey Hendrickson each had two goals for the Dalers. Goalie T.J. The Lady Dalers Lacrosse team defeated Calhoun 18-4 last week, with Melanie Raso leading the team with 5 goals. Janine Hillier had 4 goals and Kelly McPartland, Joan Buczkowski and Collen Reynolds each had 2 goals. Goalie Lauren Maksym had 6 saves against Calhoun. Later in the week, the Lady Dalers defeated Port Washington 19-6. Kyra Ochwat, Melanie Raso and Janine Hillier each had 3 goals. Kim Kolodny, Alyssa Cardillo had 2 goals each. Kelly McPartland had 1 goal and 4 assists. Goalie Lauren Maksym had 11 saves. The Lady Dalers are now (3-0) this season.
