The 2008 Lady Dalers swim team, under the direction of coaches Ken Ilchuk and Randy Corcoran, finished its regular season swimming in Conference I. They produced a respectable record of 3-5-1.

The Division A Championship was held at the Aquatic Center in Eisenhower Park. The Lady Dalers produced a third-place finish scoring 433 points and had many All-Division recipients.

Leading off the championship was diving. Sarah Hendrickson received All-Division with a 3rd place finish and a score of 355.60. Liz Blovsky was 7th, in 10th Kristin Reinhart, and Andrea Kuppelmeyer finished 12th.

The swimming portion started with an All Division, 3rd place finish by the medley relay team of: Jessica MacKenzie, Lexi Rzempoluch, Sarah Hendrickson, and Jillian Anesta. In the 200 freestyle, Marissa Boccio finished 4th, followed by Nora Reade in 12th, 15th was Captain Jackie Heinz, and Megan O'Shea in 20th. In the 200 individual medley, the Dalers produced a 13th, 14th, 15th, and 21st place finish by Alex Pyros, Julie Littell, Captain Caitlin Flaherty, and Leah Fishman. Jillian Anesta swam a personal best time of 27.62 in the 50 freestyle and received All Division for a third place finish. April Ingenito finished 11th, Captain Samantha Vitale finished 14th, and Lenore Grasso was 26th. In the 100 butterfly, Sarah Hendrickson led with a 9th place finish, Lexi Rzempoluch 15th, Melissa Gehlbach 20th and Jenna Grasso 22nd.

In the 100 free: Marissa Boccio placed 2nd with a season best of 57.62 earning All-Division. Jill Anesta placed 10th, Lorraine Pye was 12th, both with personal bests, and Samantha Vitale 16th. Producing another great race in the 500 freestyle was Caitlin Flaherty with a time of 6:30.17. That personal best time earned a 15th place finish. Jackie Heinz followed right behind in 16th. Meghan O'Shea finished in 18th and Alex Pyros followed in 20th.

The 200 freestyle relay team of Hendrickson, Anesta, Pye and Boccio finished second and received All-Division. In the 100 backstroke: Nora Reade finished 10th, Lindsay Gehlbach 13th, Jessica MacKenezie 15th, and Julie Littell in 19th. In the 100 breaststroke, Lexi Rzempoluch produced another All Division swim placing 3rd. Lorraine Pye was 8th, Lauren Connors 14th, and Leah Fishman in 15th. The 400 freestyle relay team of Samantha Vitale, Nora Reade, Lorraine Pye, and Marissa Boccio moved up 2 spots from a 6th seed to a 4th place finish.

Marissa Boccio, Lorraine Pye, Sarah Hendrickson, Jillian Anesta, Jessica MacKenzie, Samantha Vitale, Jackie Heinz, April Ingenito, Nora Reade, Lexi Rzempoluch, Lindsay Gehlbach, Sarah Hendrickson, Kristen Reinhardt, Liz Blovsky and Andrea Kupplemeyer also competed in the Nassau County Finals this week.
