On Wednesday, September 3, the Farmingdale School District began the 2008-2009 school year. The faculty, administration and staff look forward to working together to create a successful year.

"We at the Farmingdale School District are excited to begin another extraordinary year," said Superintendent John Lorentz. "The district continues to provide great educational programs and extra-curricular opportunities throughout the district."

The district continues to promote bus safety and encourages parents and community members to be extra cautious when traveling around the school and its perimeter. In addition, the district is continuing to promote a healthy lifestyle, providing a number of healthy choices on the lunch menu.

The Farmingdale School District is eager to begin a new year. As with previous years, the district will continue to put the safety and welfare of the students as the highest priority.
