Mothers Day saw The St. Kilian Saints taking on The Massapequa Marauders. The Saints pitching and defense was outstanding. Aaron Powell (five innings and five strike outs) Chris Lopez (three innings and two strike outs) and Brendan Nocella (one inning and two strike outs) combined to throw a four-hit shutout over The Marauders. Saint Notables: PJ Spadalik continues his torrid play with three more hits, two runs scored and two stolen bases, Brendan Nocella with a clutch two-run single to give the Saints a 3-0 lead, Ryan Sellitti and Matt Santamaria who both nailed would-be basestealers in key situations and finally Nico Rivera with the webgem of the season - Nico playing leftfield ran full speed to the left field line, dove and robbed a Marauder batter of a run scoring double.
