Russell V. Nowak, of Farmingdale, a former Army Ranger and decorated Korean War veteran, passed away at home on May 8, 2008. Russell, after retiring from the phone company with 30 years of loyal employment, fulfilled his passion for aviation and flying by working at North Eastern Aviation and volunteering at The American Airpower Museum, both at Republic Airport in Farmingdale. Russell is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lynne, his children Michelle, Kim, and son-in-law Denis, and his three grandchildren Alexis, Zachary and Mackenzie.
