The St. Kilian CYO Swim Team finished fourth in the Nassau/Suffolk CYO Championship Meet on Friday, April 4, at the Aquatic Center in East Meadow. We celebrated their successful season with a pizza party on Tuesday, April 15, where the swimmers were awarded their season trophies and ribbons. The swimmers who placed in the Championship Meet were also honored with the presentation of their medals.

The results of the Championship Meet are as follows:"

Gold medal - 1st place - 8u girls - 100 yd. freestyle relay: Gina Camisa, Julia Cole, Samantha Hungerford, Alayna Rzempoluch with a time of 1:19:37.

Gold medal - 1st place - 12u girls - 50 yd. freestyle - Sara Golshahr - Undefeated entire season with a time of 28.84.

Gold medal - 1st place - 12u girls - 50 yd. breaststroke - Sara Golshahr - time of 37:75.

Gold medal - 1st place - 14u girls - 50 yd. breaststroke - Sierra Schools time of 36:71.

Gold medal - 1st place - 14u boys - 50 yd. relay - Tom Gehlbach - Undefeated entire season with a time of 26:41.

Gold medal - 1st place - 17u boys - 200 yd. medley relay - Joe Scaglione (backstroke), Victor Quijano (breaststroke), Steve Guglielmo (butterfly), Tom Gehlbah (freestyle), with a time of 2:04:28.

Silver medal - 2nd place - 8u girls - 25 yd. backstroke - Gina Camisa - time 22:12.

Silver medal - 2nd place - 17u boys - 200 yd. freestyle relay - Victor Quijano, Steve Guglielmo, Joe Scaglione, Tom Gehlbach with a time of 1:48:22.

Bronze medal - 3rd place - 8 cu girls - 25 yd. freestyle - Alayna Rzempoluch-time - 18:18.
