Elizabeth DeMilo, of Farmingdale, passed away on February 22, 2008. Retired employee of the New York Telephone Company. Wife of the late Albert. Mother and mother-in-law of Byron and Barbara and Brad and Ingrid. Grandmother of Karl, Kristine, Erika, Kyle and great-grandmother of five. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Marguerite Taormina, of Babylon, formerly of Levittown, passed away on February 26, 2008. Wife of the late Joseph. Mother of Joseph Jr. (Jay), Robert and Donna Marie. Grandmother of Joseph III and Jennifer, Lori and Edward, Mark and Linda, Robert and Kristen, Richard, Christine and Nicolas and great-grandmother of Olivia Rae, Lianna and Edward James. Former proprietor of Mers Pub, Wrestling Coach Farmingdale Schools, innumerable supporter of athletic teams, organizations and fundraisers for the Farmingdale community. Husband of Teri. Father of T.J. Son of Marie and the late Arthur. Brother of Artie (Olga) and Ellen Mallon. Son-in-law of Doris Carollo and the late Vincent. Friend of Arnold Wittschiebe. Brother-in- law of Vincent Carollo and Diane. Survived by nephews Ryan and Vincent, and niece Arianna. Also survived by his dog Riley. Arrangements were made by McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held at St. Kilian RC Church. Cremation private following mass. Stella Lowery of Huntington, passed away February 24, 2008. Wife of the late Bertram. Long, born 1919 in Garvagh, Ireland, passed away February 19, 2008 in Vero Beach, Florida. Retired in 1980 from Kings Park State Hospital. Wife of Walter. Mother of Walter, Matthew and Mary Blydenburgh. Grandmother of 11. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held February 27, at St. Kilian RC Church with interment following at St. Charles Cemetery.

Joseph A. Magliato, 79, former 40-year resident of Farmingdale passed away February 26, 2008 in Tampa, Florida. Preceded in death by his first wife, Angela. Husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Annette, sons, Frank and wife Lori of New Jersey, Joseph Jr. and wife, Robin of Long Island, Louis and wife, Stephanie of New York, daughter Lori Dente and husband Robert of New Jersey; sister, Marie Conzo of Long Island, nephew Thomas Conzo; Annette's children, Patricia Erb and Husband Edward of Tampa, FL, James Golden and wife Alice of NY, Robert Golden and wife, Victoria of NY, and 14 grandchildren.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served as a medic during WWII and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Florida. Joseph was a fourth degree Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus #1138 as well as a member of the K Of C Memorare, Seaford. He also served as the first president of the Order of the Sons of Italy In America for Mona Lisa Lodge #2699, Tampa, as well as a Venerable for the Columbus Lodge 2143, Massapequa. He was also state orator of the Grand Lodge of Florida.

Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held March 3 at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, Massapequa Park with entombment following at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx. Donations in Joseph's name may be sent to Lifepath Hospice (12973 Telecom Parkway, Temple Terrace, FL 33637) or the American Cancer Society.
