The Village of Farmingdale was recently able to purchase a mobile speed radar trailer and two pole mounted versions with the traffic calming grant.

The speed monitoring systems are being strategically placed where excessive speeding is being observed. According to Village Administrator Dave Smollett, the Nassau County Police Department's 8th Precinct is working along with the village in an attempt to enforce the speed limits around the village.
