Ann Spieldenner, 74, of Saratoga Springs and formerly of Greenlawn, died Saturday, Jan. 12 at the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs following a long illness.
Born Dec. 26, 1933 in Englewood, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Franklin and Helen (Duncan) Spieldenner.
Ann graduated from Tenafly High School in Tenafly, NJ in 1951. She then graduated from Bowling Green University in 1955 with a bachelor's degree in education and received her master's degree in education from NY in New York City.
She was employed as a physical education teacher, first at Corinth Central School for three years, and then at Farmingdale High School for 30 years until her retirement in 1989.
Survivors include two brothers, George Spieldenner and his wife, Ethel of Corinth and Frank Spieldenner and his wife, Maurine of Sandwich, MA, one aunt, Martha Duncan of Hartford, CT, five nephews and three nieces and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 21 at the Densmore Funeral Home, Inc., 7 Sherman Ave., Corinth with Lane Schermerhorn, officiating.
Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m., Jan. 21 at the funeral home prior to the service.
