Charles Tomeo, 81, of Farmingdale (formerly of Franklin Square) passed away on Dec. 13. Beloved husband of Lena. Devoted father of Theresa Matthies, Carmen Tomeo and Janet Abrams. Fond father-in-law of William, Patricia and Robert. Proud and cherished grandfather of Kristine (Christopher) Walton, Jaime (David) Sumersille, Jesse (Jennifer) Tomeo, Billy Matthies and Stacy and Amanda Abrams and great-grandfather of Brianna Walton. Dear brother of James (Kathy) Tomeo and Marie Buquicchio. Former founder and president of Tomfor-JayDee Transportation Company and worked in the school bus industry for over 50 years. An Army veteran, Charles served in Korea.
