The Howitt Middle School Seventh-Grade Girls Soccer team had a fantastic season, completing league play with a record of 9 wins and no losses. In a classic cross-town rival match with Berner, the team came back from an early 1-0 deficit to win the game by a score of 4-2. They were led by captains Amanda Borstelmann and Noel Merola. Amanda went on to score a goal and have an assist. The team's leading goal scorer, Kate Hess, had two goals in the game. Maggie Fleming added the fourth. There was an excellent combined effort by keepers Kayleigh Escamilla, Danielle Maurice and Gabrielle Cappadona. Coach Passante is extremely proud of the dedication, effort and hard work shown by the entire team throughout the season. Congratulations from The Friends of Farmingdale Athletics.
