Richard J. Herlihy Sr., of Bethpage, died peacefully at home after an extended illness on October 7, 2007. Korean War Army Veteran, retired NYC Police Officer. Active parishioner of St. Martin of Tours RC Church. Father of Richard, Jr., Lynn and Kerri. Predeceased by his brothers, Edward, William and sister, Helen. Also survived by his wife, Susan. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held October 10 at St. Martin of Tours RC Church with interment following at Calverton National Cemetery. Henry L. Balinski, of Levittown, died on October 7, 2007. Husband of the late Leona. Father of Patricia Tochterman, Richard Balinski, Teresa Giunta and the late Stephen Balinski. Grandfather of nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. Uncle of Stephany. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. A prayer service was held October 11 at the funeral home with interment following at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood, Westbury. John E. "Jack" Norris, of Bethpage, was reunited with his wife, Angela on October 11, 2007. Father of Christina, John, Mark (Kathy), Diane (Tom) Costello and Tom. Grandfather of Michael, Nicole, Mark, Christopher and Luke. Brother of Jean Beck, Edward and Thomas Norris. Arrangements were made by Arthur F. White Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held October 15 at St. Martin of Tours RC Church with interment following at Long Island National Cemetery, Pinelawn.
