On Sunday, Sept. 30, the 5/6 Titans went head-to-head with a very tough West Babylon (White) squad in week 4. Farmingdale ran for 213 yards collectively, finding the end zone for two scores.

The strong defensive line of Jack Andros, Giovanni Barroso, Nicholas Gonzalez and Matthew Bocchino kept West Babylon from a first down on their first possession.

Sean Gillman and Mike Grossmann ran for 5 yards and 2 yards respectively. On third and three the ball was handed off to Matthew Olbeter. Following the blocking of Sean Carney and Naasir Bradley tied the score at 6-6.

At the start of the third quarter, the Titans used a hand off to Stephen Donnelly. With Justin Steinheimer blocking, Stephen ran for a gain of 9 yards. On the next down, Paul Lloyd and David Torres made way for Anthony Ferrara to run up the middle for 15 yards into the end zone to tie the score at 12-12. The Titans held on as long as they could, but West Babylon eventually found their way into the end zone making the score 18-12.

With 40 seconds left and three timeouts remaining, the Titans took possession at their own 40. They were able to get off three plays, gaining 27 yards as time ran out.

The 5/6 Titans hosted Wantagh Black on Oct. 7. After Wantagh's first score, the Titans took possession at the 40-yard line. Justin Steinheimer and Stephen Donnelly opened the middle as Anthony Ferrara ran first for 6 yards and then again for 20 yards. Next, Stephen Donnelly capped the drive with a 34-yard run scoring for Farmingdale and tying the game at 6-6.

Wantagh again took the ball at the 40-yard line. The Titan's defense came out with a fierce attitude with Jack Andros, Giovani Barroso, Naasir Bradley and Sean Gillman attacking the ball from all angles, causing a turnover on downs. Once the Titans are back on offense, Matthew Bocchino gets the call. Chipping away at the defense, Matty B. had three carries for a 16-yard gain. Running back, #96 Matthew Olbeter set up in a "T" formation utilizing Sean Carney, Paul Lloyd, Stephen Donnelly and Nick Schafer as protection. Matty O. snaked his way downfield to find the end zone, making it 12-6 Farmingdale.

Titans' Mike Grossmann started a drive picking up 5 yards with the help of David Torres taking out the left tackle. Then Sean Gillman followed Nick Gonzalez around the outside, turned the corner and they were off to the races. Sean G. made a touchdown, making the final score 18-6, Farmingdale.

The Pee-Wee Titans are now 2-2 as they head into their next home game on Oct. 21 at 9:30 a.m. Special thanks to the cheerleaders, parents and assistant coaches for helping make it a successful day for Titans football.

On Sept. 30 the Farmingdale Titans 9/10 White team got its first win against Plainview.

The Titans wasted no time coming back with Justin Rodriguez scoring on the second play of their first drive. Plainview proved to be a tough task for our young stars scoring the next two touchdowns and putting our team behind 20-6. But Justin Rodriguez and Hakeem Cesar scored twice on our next two drives to make the score 20-20. This would be the one and only touchdown for Hakeem Cesar for the day but he still was very productive scoring three-out-of-four extra point kicks. With a few adjustments at halftime, the Titans scored again with a great reverse field run by Niles Rodrigues, a great pass from our young quarterback Matti Deluca to CJ Demers and a great middle run by Hakeem to set up another touchdown run by Justin to push us ahead for the rest of the game. Great blocks and tackles were made by all, but special mention this week goes to Julian Knight, Joey Cincotta, Joe Kling, and Mike Larocca.

The coaching staff and parents would like to congratulate the boys for a great game.
