The Farmingdale-Bethpage Historical Society will hold its 44th annual Installation Dinner on Tuesday evening, October 23, at Terry G's Restaurant, 354 Main Street, Farmingdale.
In a tradition dating back to the society's founding year in 1964, members elected or re-elected to office at the organization's Annual Meeting in June will be inducted.
Paul DeOrsay, executive director of the Whaling Museum at Cold Spring Harbor will speak following the dinner on Long Island's Yankee Whalers.
Nancy White is chair of the dinner, at which Vice-President Mildred Johnston, Recording Secretary Gail Goldschrafe, and Corresponding Secretary Jeanne M. Buck, all incumbents, will begin another term. Also to be inducted are Trustees Serena Brochu, Eric Goldschrafe, Pierre Lehmuller, and Maria Zito. All of the trustees except Mr. Lehmuller are incumbents.
