The Lady Jaguars played an excellent game against the Lady Cardinals thanks to impressive touchdowns by Shannon, Courtney, and Kim. Emily, Melissa, and Laura played strong defense, while solid contributions from Chelsea and Jess kept this an exciting and close game.
The Ravens were so short-handed they needed to borrow two Lady Giants to start the game. Thanks to Danielle, Andrea and coach George for helping out. Highlights: Paige Devine, a 60-yd touchdown pass from Courtney McPartland, Alexiz Panariello, an electrifying 85-yard interception return for a touchdown, Marisa Rivera, 65-yards rushing and Julianna Mullane, with a big first down catch. Last but not least, Courtney, saving the day with a huge flag pull to end the game.
Danielle, playing for the short-handed Lady Ravens, threw a touchdown pass to Andrea. For the Lady Giants, Marissa played a solid quarterback, Brenna had two long touchdown runs, Danielle ran for two extra points, Jenna and Katie made key first downs, Tina, Niamh and Jenna had big flag pulls and a great job coaching by player/coach Sara. Final Score: Ravens 18 Giants 14.
The Giants played solid football with Kyle (Crazy Legs) Clark scoring two touchdowns and Patrick (the Flash) Grieshaber also scoring.
The Browns played the Jets with Nicholas Demers scoring a long touchdown run. Next, the Browns executed a double reverse. Matt McCaffery and Nicky's handoffs were so deceptive that the defense didn't even know Jake Pitcher had the ball who ran for a touchdown untouched. Kyle Sookraj led the defense with his first interception of the season. Jake Diaz and Cody Nelson also made strong defensive plays to round out another great day.
The Browns' high-powered offense scored multiple TDs with great passes from Andre Covington and Stephen Pantano and long, dazzling runs by Kameron O'Neil, Billy Petersen and Matt Groom. Luke Morales, Cole Glasford and Nicholas Pierro also contributed strong offensive and defensive plays on game day.
The Saints came up big in an exciting 30-21 win over a talented Cardinals team. Tommy Donovan continued his strong play by throwing touchdown passes to PJ Nealon, Brendan Gallagher, Dylan Zubiria and Kyle Tucker. Kyle also ran for a touchdown. Defensively, Sam Croes, John Allen Feiner and Cameron Casiano led the flag pulling efforts and applied pressure throughout the game.
The Ravens offense was rolling against the Colts with Sean Moloney running for a score and throwing for another to Chris Natale. Connor Hess also added two long touchdown runs and Nick Carbone made some big plays on offense and defense to give the Ravens great field position. Tyler Moloney, Jack Livingston, Joe Dwyer, Nick Fiorentino and Sebastian Parente anchored the stingy Raven defense
The Jets played their best game so far executing great passing and running plays. Excellent effort by all, especially Nic Luc scoring the three touchdowns; Sean and Vincent at quarterback; and Spencer, Anthony B., Jesse and Ryan running the ball. Along with the great defense by Connor, Anthony P. and Anthony B. Coach Joe, Anthony and Tony are very proud of the great team effort and would like to thank Will for coming out and supporting his team even though he can't play because of a broken arm.
The Browns were on fire against the Jets. Touchdowns were made by Kevin DiLeonardo and Tyler Sullivan. A great catch was made by Theo Giorgou, which helped put the Browns in good field position. In the second half, Kevin and Tyler both struck again for touchdowns. The Browns' defense played very well, and it was a great team effort by all.
The Jaguars faced the Giants and it was the toughest game thus far for the ferocious Jaguars. The Jaguars offense was fueled by a great pass performance by Brandon McGlynn, great runs were accomplished by Michael Simmons, Matthew McCarthy and Chris Stauber. Great defensive performances by Trevor Clark and Cory Gordon. Team ball was presented to Michael Simmons for his outstanding performance during the game.
The Ravens beat the Colts 22-7 in a very exciting game. This was a total team win for the Ravens. They were a flag hungry defense led by Ryan Psinakis, Zachary Krizman and Bryan Warshauer. They also received strong offensive performances from Brian Jones, Tim Acton, Matt MacKenzie, Eddie Modica, Justin Audette and Ryan Psinakis. Congratulations to all the players on both teams.
The Jaguars pull out great win against a solid Giants team. Awesome TD's by B.Hingerton, N.DeMartino and M.Lynch. Big extra point catch by Joe Natale. Great team defense led by Rice, Panariello and Feehan.
The Jets played hard against a good Browns team and came away with a 33-19 victory. Philip Dorso continued his accurate throwing with touchdown passes to Ryan Myers (first of the season), Marco Cotrone (two), Matt Orlando and Kevin Gallagher. Defensively, Thomas Maurice, Billy Merola and Peter Straehle came up big.
Bobby Brown quarterbacked the team to a high-flying victory as Mark Morales caught two touchdown passes and recorded a momentum-swinging sack. Anthony Pantano played a phenomenal two-way game with dazzling touchdown runs and a big interception while Stephen Cain, Nick Giovanniello, Brian Best and Jimmy Vasilio all made big plays on offense and defense.
The Seahawks improved to 3-1 with a solid 22-14 win over the Cardinals. Kevin Hassett grabbed a key interception early, while Andrew Presta and Joe McBane also were tough on defense. The Seahawks shotgun offense began each play with a flawless snap from Billy Pickett giving Tom Ferrigno and Vincent Mavaro time to find receiver like Brian Mazza who scored two touchdowns.
The Colts fell to the Giants 25-13. Their top players were Chris Witt and Brian Tinney who both caught touchdown passes from quarterback Joe Valente. Nicky Mio had a great catch to set up touchdown. Joe also hit Brian in end zone for an extra point. On defense it was Brian with big interception, Chris with a sack, and Timothy Quinn with timely flag pull.
The Ravens played the Cardinals. Frank Lettiere and Lucas Sall led the way, but this was a total team effort. Solid play from Joe Inzirillo, Alex Rottkamp, Nick Kunick, Mike Nicosia, Tom Dwyer, Dan Forzano and Matt Vecchione. Raven notables: Brendan Nocella 60-yard touchdown pass from Chris Roth, Chris with a 60-yard touchdown run and Nico Rivera with two XP conversion receptions from Brendan.
