The Farmingdale Swim Club (FSC) is having registration on Sept. 10, between the hours of 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., for all returning swimmers and on Sept. 22 between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. for all new swimmers and all out of district swimmers. Registration will be held in the pool lobby of Farmingdale High School. Bring children in a swimsuit, ready to swim.
FSC's swimming program is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 18, who are interested in developing proper swimming and stroke techniques and skills. The professional staff seeks to develop and improve athletic ability, while promoting self-esteem, self-confidence, team spirit and safety. St. Kilian CYO will be holding their first registration for their boys and girls swimming program for the upcoming 2007-08 season on Wednesday, Sept. 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 28 in the St. Kilian gym lobby located on Cherry Street in Farmingdale. Local children in grades 1-12 are invited to register for the travel swim team. Practices are held Tuesday and Friday nights at the Farmingdale High School pool. The fee of $130, which includes $30 in prepaid raffle tickets, is due at time of registration. Sibling discounts are available. More details will be available at the registration.
